Hayward & Company, owner of Camellia Beans, discusses his family’s support of maintaining sustainable farming which places a focus on eating healthy foods that are a mainstay in Louisiana’s culinary experience.

Camellia supported an LPB award-winning documentary, Deep Rooted: John Coykendall’s Journey to Save our Seeds and Stories, which featured Coykendall’s decades-long quest to preserve growing techniques and bring back heirloom varieties of beans and other crops. His belief in eating whole foods and nurturing family connections through the process of cooking and gathering as a family for meals is inspirational.
